SawatDiKaa, Friends!

What a whirlwind, coming from the heat and daily floods of Bangkok into the crisp weather and everything pumpkin spice in Georgia! We are Stateside again, adjusting from our jet lag, and getting settled back in to our temporary home in Watkinsville, GA. There is still a lot to process, and many significant things happened near the end of our trip. Specifically, here are a few things for which you can pray with and for us.

NEW BROTHER!

Many of you have been praying for Boss over the last four months, and we are so thrilled to say – we have a new brother in Christ! On our second or third night back we received this amazing news via group text from the long-term team, and in their most recent email, Trey and Kiki summed it up nicely how we can be welcoming and praying for this new brother in Christ.

“Over the next 6 months, [Boss] he’ll be studying culinary arts in France as he pursues a career as a chef. Pray for fellowship that will help to nurture his new faith, and pray that God will protect this young brother from the world, the flesh and the devil as he does his internship.

We were able to spend a few nights a week with Boss over the last four months, and he has been such a precious friend – a delight to laugh with, and process life, Jesus, and yes, even love. We are so grateful for the investment of the team in his life over the last year+, and are ecstatic that we will be together in eternity. Thanks be to God!

WHAT’S NEXT?

This is a fantastic question. We have been able to spend a few days with Sean’s family since landing, and now will spend about a week in Athens/Watkinsville area before heading out to visit Trisha’s family in Oklahoma. We hope to be back in the area by the end of the month, on the right sleep schedule,, and prayerfully considering our next steps.

If you’re wondering what’s next for us, you’re in good company – we are wondering that too! Please pray for us as we talk, debrief, ask for wisdom and wise input, and for discernment as we consider all that we have been through and make steps toward our future. We know that man plans his ways and the Lord directs our steps – please pray for clarity and vision, and patience as we wait on the Lord to reveal his will for our lives.

Again, thank you for all your support, prayers, and partnership on this journey. We are so thankful for the way you have encouraged us, and welcomed us home with notes, texts, stocking our fridge, sharing your prayers, and stood with us as we have lived and labored across the world.

WANNA HANG?

We would love to see you too! Send us an email or a text – we would love to connect with you individually, or with your small group or church too. We are open for it all, and honestly just happy to see you as the Lord allows.

God is on the move, and we are so grateful to know that you are partners with us in this work.
It’s sometimes heavy. Often beautiful. And always good, because He is good.
